Instruction by Kenny Brook Guide Service- This introductory fly casting class will cover the basics of fly fishing, including rod and reel assembly, casting, rolling, and basic fishing knots. Designed for beginners, or anyone looking to get back-to-basics to refresh their technique, the first two classes will be held in a park setting for
instruction and practice time on dry land. ( It will not include fishing time on the water.) The lessons will incorporate group instruction, as well as time for individual guidance from a licensed fly fishing guide, and plenty of time to practice each skill on your own.
Refreshments and a BBQ dinner will also be provided. *When registering, please indicate if you will need to borrow fly casting equipment or if you plan to bring your own equipment.
Once you’ve practiced some casting techniques on dry land- it’s time to give it a try on the water! The third class (April 7) will review the basics of
fly casting, and introduce fishing techniques at the stream. The lesson will incorporate small group instruction, as well as time for individual guidance from a licensed fly fishing guide, and plenty of time to practice skills on the stream. Refreshments will be provided. *When registering, please indicate if you will need to borrow fly casting equipment.
