James Zeger, director of Rose Garden mural as well as many Mural Mania projects throughout Wayne County
Savannah is Wild about Birds and Nature in preparation of its 4th annual Art Festival. On Saturday, September 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., those who appreciate all forms of art are invited to attend. Catch a glimpse of James Zeger and students as they paint a mural on-site during the festival! Over the last 11 years James has painted several historic murals throughout Wayne County with Mural Mania. His most recent work: Director of the Rose Garden mural alongside the Erie Canal in Newark.
Festival attendees will enjoy shopping at the Arts & Crafts Marketplace as well as viewing and judging art in the Gallery. Children will have fun at the various Creation Stations and contests including: Sidewalk Chalk Art, Lego Build, Card Making, Kindness Rocks, Face Painting, Recycled Art, and more. The whole family will enjoy the free art classes, watching and casting their vote at the Trashin’ Fashion Runway Competition, on-site photo contest, geo caching, selfie stations, and art demonstrations. Live entertainment: Nate Michaels, Forest Dwellers, the Spoken Word, and a Drum Circle. Plein Air artists are encouraged to bring their supplies and paint on the beautiful grounds of the Audubon Center.

D.Dargan Teska, teacher at Wayne County Council of Arts and State Fair first place award winner with exhibitions throughout central New York.
This year the festival is thrilled to honor D. Dargan Teska as our Spotlight Artist. Ms. Teska has over 30 years of experience as a local educator and is an award-winning professional artist. She will meet & greet while displaying her multi-layered work.
