Daisy Launch Parties Planned Regionally for Pre-K, Kindergarten Girls to Learn More About Girl Scouts

05/02/2019

The Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN) Council is hosting a series of Daisy Launch Parties across its territory in New York and Pennsylvania this May and June to introduce girls in pre-K (entering kindergarten in fall 2019) and those currently in kindergarten to Girl Scouts.

The free, introductory drop-in programs teach girls what it’s like to be a Girl Scout Daisy—the Girl Scout Level for grades K-1.

Girls will learn Girl Scout songs and sample badge activities exploring nature and camping. Parents and caregivers can learn more about the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and how to become troop leaders and volunteers. Girls who register to join Girl Scouts during the event and complete at least three activities will earn their first patch.

For more information or to address questions, contact GSNYPENN Customer Care at 1.855.213.8555 or info@gsnypenn.org to be connected to the Community Recruitment Manager in your local area. Girl Scouts serves girls in grade K-12. Annual membership is $25. Financial assistance is available. To register a girl online, visit gsnypenn.org/join. To become an adult volunteer, learn more at gsnypenn.org/volunteer.
