The Gaffer District is excited to announce its upcoming Winter Event Series running this February through March sponsored by Corning Community Engagement.
The temperature may be dropping, but downtown Corning is heating up with things to do this winter season. This year’s lineup of events includes: Love Your Downtown, hosted by the Corning Area Business Alliance, the return of 2300° at the Corning Museum of Glass, our newest event, CHILL, Cabin Fever, and The Great Market Street Antique Sale.
“We are very excited to begin a robust year of events with the launch of the new first quarter event series,” said Coleen Fabrizi, executive director of Corning’s Gaffer District. “Our downtown is a spectacular place to make memories year-round. During this unprecedented first quarter, we will be showcasing a number of events and promotions that will surely be a must-do for Gaffer District fans from near and far! This series is made possible thanks to the generosity of Corning Community Engagement. Their investment in the sustainability of downtown and its small businesses is extraordinary and deeply appreciated.”
Fred Arcuri, manager of Community Development at Corning Community Engagement said, “The Gaffer District is well known for its Crystal City Christmas and GlassFest events. This new Winter Event Series is designed to keep the holiday spirit going and create excitement for the coming spring. We are thrilled to be a part of this winter series as we see the value in bringing people to the district during the colder winter months.”
