The Finger Lakes region features some of the most picturesque backdrops in all of the United States. Throughout the area are beautiful lakes, rolling hills, and parks with views that will take your breath away. You will have no trouble finding a spot to create beautiful images of your special day.

Some of the areas that come to mind are Letchworth State Park, sometimes called the “Grand Canyon of the East” near Mount Morris, a
variety of spots along Canandaigua Lake, Sonnenberg Gardens, and the “Sunken Gardens” at Highland Park in Rochester. Elmira College has an area called “The Pond” which appeals to many brides and grooms, and the waterfalls throughout the Finger Lakes region are always picturesque.

When you begin planning your wedding, take some time to travel and seek out the naturally stunning locations that will enhance your images and make them special. Your chosen spot does not have to be large – it takes a much narrower background than you might think to make beautiful wedding portraits.
