Celebrate New Year’s Eve at a Finger Lakes Destination Winery

Popular Finger Lakes destination winery to host their first New Year’s Eve Party on Sunday, December 31, 2017.

Americana Vineyards Winery is known for throwing some of the best parties in the Finger Lakes. This year, for the first time ever, they are delighted to announce that they will host a New Year’s Eve Party on Sunday, December 31, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and invite revelers to bid 2017 a fond farewell – Americana style.

“We have a big party each season. Woofstock is in the spring, our Birthday BBQ Bash is in the summer, and our Hallowine Spooktacular is in the fall. But we had no really big party in the winter,” explained Joe Gober, the winery’s charismatic owner and consummate host. “So we thought it was time to add one, and a New Year’s Eve party rounds out our events schedule perfectly!”

“Dine. Dance. Mix. Mingle.” is the theme, and guests are invited to dress how ever they want – from fancy to comfy, anything goes. Upstairs in the Winery, DJ Rob Knobel kicks the party off on the dance floor at 4 p.m., playing swing and jazz until 8 p.m., for party goers’ dancing and listening pleasure. Downstairs in the Tasting Room, the Crystal Lake Café will put out quite the spread, starting with appetizers at 4, followed by dinner and desserts from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Dinner selections will include seafood, pasta and a prime rib carving station, along with a variety of sides and salads. Tables will be spread throughout the Winery, Café, Taproom and around the dance floor — for guests to use as they please. And a variety of drinks will be available, including beer, bubbly, wine, wine cocktails, vertical tastings and even some rare library wines from Joe’s private collection.

“Think of our New Year’s Eve party as sort of a warm-up or pre-game party,” said Ryan O’Scammon, Operations Manager. “It goes from 4 ’til 8, warming you up for your next party or getting you home in time to watch the ball drop with family and friends from the comfort of your living room.”

In addition to food, drinks and dancing, there will be door prizes awarded each hour which will include a bottle of Rubie’s Bubbling Blush and 2 champagne glasses to take to your next stop for the evening. Also there will be big basket raffles, with the proceeds going to the shelters and rescues of Woofstock.

“We’re bringing the best of the best of our big events together for this party. The only thing missing is fireworks!” laughs Joe. “This year…”

Attendance is limited to 200 guests who must be 21 or over. Admission is just $25 per person in advance, and $30 at the door.

“The first glass of wine or beer is on us!” Joe points out.

People are strongly encouraged to RSVP or buy their tickets in advance as soon as possible by calling 607-387-6801 or stopping by the winery over the next few weeks.

Joe invites everyone to get their New Year’s Eve festivities started early. “If you’ve never been to a party here at the winery, we promise you’re in for a good time! And if you’ve been to one of our parties, you know it’s true. Nobody throws a party like we do!”

Americana Vineyards Winery, Bacchus Brewing Co. Taproom and the Crystal Lake Café are located at 4367 East Covert Road in Interlaken, about 15 minutes north of Ithaca. Event updates and details can be found on the winery’s website and on their Facebook page.
