Canandaigua artist Pat Rini Rohrer established the Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery in 2003. It is located in a beautifully refurbished 1850s building on Main Street in downtown Canandaigua, a thriving art community. What is especially unique about this gallery are the Studio II Workshops taught by various artists. Classes are held in large, clean, and bright studio spaces at the back of the building. Students at all levels of ability can take classes in painting, drawing, pastels, collage, and many other disciplines. The artist/owner’s studio is also designed into this total “art scene.”

Intermediate Watercolor Workshop with Nancy Lane
For painters who have painted a bit on their own, have done some basic color mixing and are ready to take their work to the next level. In each class students follow a step-by-step process to creating a painting. Everyone works from the same photo, which could be a landscape, still life, animal, building or plant. Students practice various painting techniques after watching Nancy demonstrate them as part of the painting. In the final sixth class, students work from their own photos with guidance from the instructor. There is a supply list for a suggested range of materials for the class.
