Join the Friends of Seymour Library, a non-profit volunteer organization, for a Garden Tour and Plein Air fundraising event on Sunday, July 9 in the historic and picturesque city of Auburn. Proceeds from the event will go directly to support Seymour Library programs and services.
Plein Air Artist registration
Artists will have the rare opportunity to paint in any of the four public and eight private gardens on the tour, culminating in a wet paint exhibition in the Seymour Library garden where a “People’s Choice” award winner will be selected to receive a $100 gift card from Nash’s Framing & Art. Registration for artists is $15, and pre-registration is required.
All artists will check in at Hoopes Park from 10:30-11:00 a.m., with set up to begin at 11 a.m. in a garden of the artists’s choice. 11:15 a.m. – 2:15 p.m. Paint! 2:30-3 p.m. deliver artwork to Seymour Library for Wet Paint Exhibition. The People’s Choice prize will be awarded at 4 p.m.
Complete the artist registration form: https://seymourlibrary.org/friends-library/plein-air-event/ and return along with your check made payable to the Friends of Seymour Library and mail to: Garden Tour Committee, Friends of Seymour Library, 176-178 Genesee Street, Auburn, NY 13021 or submit in person at the library.

The purpose of the Friends of Seymour Public Library District is to maintain an association of persons interested in books, libraries, and the promotion of lifelong literacy, focus public attention on Seymour Public Library District services, facilities, and needs, and enhance the community’s appreciation for the library, stimulate gifts that may be used for collection development and other library needs and to actively promote and support the financial and economic well-being of the Seymour Public Library District.
