Brew at the Zoo Goes Virtual

08/20/2020

The Rosamond Gifford Zoo’s popular summer fundraise, Brew at the Zoo, has gone virtual this year — and it’s happening on Friday, August 21 at 6 p.m.

Enjoy 30 minutes of non-stop, interactive entertainment from the comfort of your home – with music, animals and their keepers, special guest appearances, beer tasting segments, zoo updates, fun trivia and more. Plus, it ends with a silent auction of exciting one-of-a-kind items not available anywhere else!

This event is free and will stream on the zoo’s Facebook. Or you can make it even more fun by partaking in some great perks as a VIP participant.

Get the Brew VIP experience by purchasing tickets at $30 a person or $45 for two and pick up your special VIP package on the Wednesday or Thursday prior to Friday’s event. The VIP package includes a six-pack of select beers, a special Brew to You pint glass, assorted snacks, zoo guest passes and other fun swag. VIPs also will be entered into a raffle for a giant zoo-themed gift basket valued at $150.

Even those who don’t partake of VIP tickets will be able to tune in and bid on silent auction items online through noon on Saturday, August 22.

Silent auction items include a basketball signed by Syracuse Men’s Basketball Coach Jim Boeheim, a team-signed Syracuse Crunch jersey and a night’s stay for two at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown (the renovated former Hotel Syracuse) with free breakfast and parking.

Animal-related items up for bid will include paintings by some of the creatures that call the zoo home, a virtual Zoo to You program and Pastries with a Panda, breakfast for up to four people at the zoo’s red panda exhibit, a red panda keeper chat and a painting by a red panda.

All proceeds benefit the animals at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo.
