Each year the Finger Lakes Region is host to a variety of automobile events – races, shows, cruises and rallies. Here is a selection of photographic images, not of the specific automobile as a whole, but of automotive elements, with a consideration of line, texture, shape, color and composition. These images represent the artist’s interpretation of the automobile collector’s fancy. Taken in Corning, Watkins Glen, the Windmill Market in Barrington and Penn Yan, they include exotic sports cars, domestic tourers, hot rods and antiques and demonstrate the wide variety of artistic expression of regional car lovers.
