Artists from across the United States are invited to apply for spaces at the 2021 M&T Bank Clothesline Festival, a juried fine arts festival showcasing more than 400 artists. Following the 2020 event that was held as a virtual festival, MAG is excited to once again welcome visitors to the MAG grounds on Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12.
HOW TO APPLY
A downloadable application is available at the M&T Bank Clothesline Festival website. The application deadline is Wednesday, March 31, 2021. If spaces remain after the deadline, applications will still be accepted but location requests cannot be guaranteed. For more information call the Memorial Art Gallery events office at 585-276-8949, or email clothesline@mag.rochester.edu.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Rochester’s largest and longest-running fine arts festival continues to evolve. Originating as a New York State only artist festival, Clothesline has expanded in recent years to welcome artists from across the country. It’s now the place to experience all-day live entertainment, sample food from some of Rochester’s favorite vendors, enjoy free family art activities, visit the museum, and of course, browse and buy original artwork throughout the grounds.
Each year sees the addition of more festivals, but Clothesline remains a favorite with artists. Because MAG charges a $5 admission fee and screens the work of the exhibitors, serious shoppers are more in evidence than at other festivals.
Please visit mag.rochester.edu for the most up-to-date information about plans for the event.
