Retired art teacher and artist Kathy Houston will be having a one-woman art show and sale at the Mendon 64 restaurant in Mendon from Tuesday, July 31 to Saturday, September 1. There will be a reception for the artist on Tuesday, July 31, from 4 to 7 p.m.
This will be a retrospective of her work and will include at least 25 paintings in various subjects, styles, and techniques in pastel, watercolor, oil, graphite, charcoal and mixed media.
Kathy taught art in public schools for over 27 years at all levels. She has been retired since 1995 and has been an exhibiting member in at least six art clubs since 1990, where she built up her inventory of artwork.
Mendon 64, formerly known as The Mendon House, reopened in February 2017. It was redesigned to display art while offering excellent restaurant services. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. It is located at 1369 Pittsford Mendon Rd., Mendon, New York 14506. Reservations are suggested but not required.
