You have our permission to have fun. Really! The photo contest is all about taking the extra time that you have – or carving out that time if necessary – and capturing the interesting and beautiful images of the Finger Lakes that you see every day or while you’re on vacation.

Sometimes we need that little extra push to get us out of the house or away from our daily routine to do something different and unique. When we open our minds to possibilities, creativity takes over and wonderful things can happen.

The photos this year are again phenomenal and inspiring. No matter how many years we’ve held this contest, there are always unique and refreshing ways of looking at a subject. The bar is raised just a bit every year, which means that excellence produces more excellence.

Keep the photos coming. Whether you submit photos again for next year’s contest or post them to our website, we welcome Finger Lakes images all year long. And aren’t the best things in life shared?
