2002 Photography Contest Winners
We received hundreds of entries to our First Annual Photography Contest, and the task of judging was incredibly difficult. With so many high-quality photos to choose from, we decided to let our panel of experts decide.
The criteria for judging the photos was made up of three parts. The first was what we called the “wow” factor, meaning how the photo initially struck the viewer. The second factor addressed technique, clarity and composition of the
photograph. The third (and arguably most important) element was how well the photograph represented the Finger Lakes region.
Although making a decision was tough, we finally came up with the following winners. We’re sure that you’ll agree that we have wonderful, talented photographers in the Finger Lakes, and we’re happy to present their work to you.
